MAN'S BEST FRIEND

The slapdash Constable SHEK (KOO TIN LOK, LOUIS) has been idling for years. His laziness has made ROCKY, a police dog and also a partner of his despise him. Though SHEK is often tricked by ROCKY, later when the dog is deemed no longer fit for the job due to a serious injury, SHEK does not hesitate to adopt him. SHEK’s neighbour LONG (HSUAN JESSICA HESTER) is a great lover of dogs and she feels unhappy with the way he treats ROCKY. She even believes that SHEK has taken away her dog DONG DONG, and so she regards SHEK as her greatest foe. LONG misses DONG DONG but in a while she gets another dog DAU DAU, which cheers her up by much. DAU DAU and ROCKY fall for each other but they just cannot get along because of the strong enmity between their masters. LONG’s friend SAN (CHENG SAU MAN, SAMMI), who is SHEK’s landlord, also dislikes SHEK at the very beginning. SHEK, nonetheless, is by her side every time she is down. SAN feels thankful and they eventually become lovers. Unfortunately, they break up as soon as SAN has begun a successful career. SAN goes abroad to further her studies. Meanwhile, SHEK and LONG have developed deep affections for each other. One year later, SAN returns. When LONG comes to know that SAN has never really forgotten about SHEK, she somehow feels regretful and is torn between love and friendship.…
