' The Iron Butterfly II See No Daylight' is an action-packed police story with a tinge of romance. The first part of the movie is shot in Tokyo where the central character, Ling, a woman police officer from Hong Kong, gets romantically involved with the handsome and mysterious Mark, who helps her extradite a Japanese criminal. Unknown to Ling, Mark is a Yakusa, loyal killer of a Japanese syndicate. A new mission to kill the clan's traitor, Kunada, takes Mark to Hong Kong. They're his love for Ling flourishes. But their brief happiness ends when Ling discovers his real identity. Torn between love and duty, Ling decides to stand by Mark, come what may. Mark finally corners the veteran Kunada and forces him to duel in the traditional style, using the sword of Bushido. To his shock, Kunada refuses to fight and discloses his tragic past and the real reason behind the pursuit. The two now stand on the side against the advancing swords of the gang members sent by the boss. Kunada goes down in the bloodbath, and Mark only escapes to face them in the final confrontation.
